New to all of this? Good — you are exactly who this is for.
Most people who come to me have never done anything like it. Here is everything you might reasonably want to ask first.
The honest answers
Questions people are slightly embarrassed to ask.
None of these are silly. I have been asked every single one of them, usually by someone standing in the doorway deciding whether to take their shoes off.
For most people, yes. Breathwork and sound healing are gentle, and you are always in charge — you can slow down, sit up or stop at any point. There are a few situations where we adapt or wait: pregnancy, epilepsy, recent surgery, severe asthma, cardiovascular conditions, glaucoma, or if you are currently in treatment for a psychiatric condition. Tell me when you book and we will either adjust the practice or recommend something better suited to you. Nothing here replaces medical care.
Anything you can lie down and breathe comfortably in. Soft, loose clothing with a little room around the waist is ideal. You will mostly be on your back, so avoid anything tight or stiff. Layers are useful because body temperature often drops during deep rest.
Then you cry, and it is completely fine. Slow breathing and sound both soften the nervous system, and emotion sometimes moves through as a result. It is not a sign that something is wrong or that you are doing it badly. I have tissues, I will not make it a moment, and nobody in the room will be looking at you.
Yes. Online breath sessions work well — you just need a quiet corner, headphones if you have them, and somewhere you can lie down. Sound healing is harder to translate through a screen, so I keep the online work to breath and to the Gene Keys sessions.
None at all. Most people who come to me have never done anything like this. Everything is guided from start to finish, and there is nothing to get right. If you are unsure where to begin, a 1:1 intro session is the gentlest way in.
Write to me before you book and describe it honestly. In many cases we can adapt the practice comfortably. Where it would be unwise, I will say so plainly rather than take your money — and if something needs a doctor, I will tell you that too.
The recommended first step
Begin with a 1:1 intro session.
If you are unsure where to start, do not begin with a group or a retreat. Begin with ninety minutes alone. We talk first, I learn what you are carrying and what would be unhelpful, and we shape the session around you rather than around a script.
It is the gentlest possible way in, and it means your very first experience of this work is one that fits you. From there you can join groups, come to the beach at sunrise, or simply take the practices home and use them on your own.

Still unsure? Just ask.
Message me with whatever is on your mind — including whether this is the right thing for you at all. I will tell you honestly.
